It looks a lot like the neck on an Aspen, this is what the ones that are on their website look like.

I can never figure how you guys get around with a ground clearance like that. Don't you have a lot of scraping?
-
It does happen from time to time, but thats why experience counts BIG time with a lowboy trailer. Knowing the difference in trying or NOT trying to make a turn or go into a place with high or low spots make all the difference in a big wrecker coming to help you out. Hydraulics help out too, but not all of us run hydro units.
I did learn a trick years ago with a mechanical. If you get in a tight place where you think your gonna drag a little, but you dont have much choice, i keep thin spacers for shims.
Sometimes, you can slide those shims in between the bottom of the neck where it rides on the deck and take all the slop out, gaining you an inch or 2. That has gotten me out of a couple pickles.Hegemeister, johndeere4020, truckdad and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm able to air the truck and trailer bags up to gain an inch or two. Sometimes you can lock the lockers in and drag it across.snowman_w900 Thanks this.

That's the style I'm interested in. By the way I like the D rings down the side that looks like my trailer after I got done with it.snowman_w900 Thanks this.
