I grew up in Fargo and learned to truck there .
Definitely a different mindset required there ...upside is when it got below zero here in Omaha last week I was prepared for it and my truck ran on schedule.

When you stop driving and then get back into it again it's like starting all over again...almost. The first full year is definitely a refresher lol. yes I'm a weather watcher to. You just have to be.
Merry Christmas I'm off to bed. I'm a bag hum bugger this year tho.

After three team runs from OKC to Wyoming, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania in temperatures down to -20°F I'm in shorts and a t-shirt, doing a late night barbecue, drinking shots. It's Christmas and 60°F at two in the morning!

    OREGON, OH (WTOL) -

A truck driver is in the hospital after his semi caught on fire in a parking lot Saturday morning.

The driver was parked at the Walmart in Oregon and cooking on a hot plate in the cab of the semi when it caught on fire, according to Oregon Fire’s preliminary report.

The driver was transported to Mercy St. Vincent’s Medical Center with burns, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Oregon Fire Department says the diesel fuel caught on fire and was put out with foam.

The trucking company will clean up the semi, while C&W will pump out the remaining diesel fluid.

The semi was carrying a variety of meats packed inside cardboard boxes.

Around 10 a.m., crews were still working to smother all fire within the boxes.

Oh Lawdy! That's why I barbeque at home. With my brother. The year turned out well. Bought a truck last month, just logged online to see a nice settlement coming in next week, and I don't have to answer any calls from dispatch for a day.
