Snowed like 19 mofo's Christmas Eve, they closed like 30 miles worth of 17.
All the plow jockeys were probably half in the bag too lol.
Rained like 19 mofo's Saturday as well.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I'm from Buffalo NY area and when my boy's were oh tween 7-10 (there were 3) I would seek into a Kmart parking lot and say, watch this...do a few donuts and maybe a figure eight andthen get out of there quick. we're not suppose to do that up there. omg watch in there faces light up and hearing them hoot n holler. lol Then they'd ask me to do it again.

You think an electric fry pan is safe? Gosh I hope so.

They are calling for 2 feet of snow in and around Flagstaff.
200 plows on standby.
Recommend hammer down or post up for e loggers.
Ruh roh it's too late. They just showed it on the news. Snowing like 19 mofo's. Recommend Mary's Diner on US89. There is a small service station truck stop next to it, between the two properties almost 20 of you can squeeze in their and have a safe warm hide out.Last edited: Jan 19, 2017
Lepton1 and austinmike Thank this. -
Well mama, I don't think there is ANYTHING made that is safe, or "trucker proof!" Some way, some driver WILL find a way to create a disaster with whatever is handy....

Just as a bit of weather history for Flagstaff....
Long before we were married, my wife lived there during that horrendous winter in the '67 where Flag was snowed in for some time. It was so bad that the grocery stores were running out of food. ADOT couldn't plow fast enough to keep that old road open between Flag and Phoenix.
The government was actually making food drops out of helicopters out on the big rez to keep folks from starving. There were also air drops of hay for the livestock out there.
This winter just kept going, and going. There was something like eight feet of accumulated snow, and this is in areas where the snow hadn't been filled in by plows.
Flagstaff weather is very unpredictable!
I've never lived there myself, though we did live at the south rim of the canyon for about four years. And our winters happened to be very mild at the time.
Here is a link to an article on this from AZ Central: http://www.azcentral.com/story/news...4/most-snow-arizona-extreme-weather/29166183/Lepton1, tucker, G13Tomcat and 1 other person Thank this. -
^^^^ This is ONE YEAR that I'm glad to live in Ohio... go figure~!
Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Well its starting to snow like 19 mofo's again on 40 pretty much from Kingman to Flag & raining like 27 mofo's from Kingman to SoCal.
Great opportunity to post up at a Petro and watch the conference championships today. -
It's raining again in SW Utah. But from what the TV says, I-15 north of the black ridge is pretty rough going, all the way to the Idaho border. From what I've been told, (my wife was watching the weather, while I'm here in the computer,) this stuff is supposed to go on through Tuesday.
Lepton1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
62 and sunny in OKC. What's the problem?
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
