120 miles to the next weigh station. Tandem release and pins refuse to budge. 3/4 tank of diesel, i70 Columbia, Missouri through illinois to Indiana. Let it ride and burn the fuel?

Nothing wrong with that weight.
austinmike, Bean Jr. and street beater Thank this. -
You'll be legal after 120 miles, you should be around 11,920 or very close to that when you hit the scale. Good luck
-
Do have a fuel stop between Columbia and Indiana? If not I would roll with it then,
-
Me, I'd run with it. Doubtful you'll get hassled over 80 lbs. That's well within the margin of error. Besides, if the next scale is the indiana scale it's almost certainly closed.
-
12080 on the steers. Is 12000 not the max?
-
-
Roll with it and slide the 5th wheel back a little if you want. I never had a problem(as in-being hassled by the scales) with steer weight and 12,500 was what I always shot for.
-
Only in Arkansas. Everywhere else 12,500Lepton1 Thanks this.

Look in the Rand atlas, it gives states steer weights. Then check tire ratings. Then check axle ratings on the door jam. The max steer weights are smaller of the three.
Most likely is you are on a fleet truck, the axle is 12k, but if it's more you likely have 12.5k to 13k as your max.Last edited: Dec 26, 2016
