If there are plenty of loads you can figure out what will be available and buy flights even earlier, saving you more. Southwest lets you cancel flights and hold your money for future use. I always had about $300 sitting with then and I'd rebook until I found a match. I got a Southwest Airlines mileage credit card and used it for every fuel purchase, permit, and anything I could. Earn free flights off the company's gas and permit money.

Biggest thing I can say, even though I'm 23 years old I've ran as an independent contractor with V3 Transportation. Yes V3 is just expedited freight but this much I do know. Independent contractor is just like o/o, other then the big over head expenses such as truck payment insurance and maintenance, but you gotta be on you toes looking for another load calling saying you got anything if your able to call. If you jump into being independent without any kind of knowledge of running a truck or more important a business, you will sink. And trucking is like gambling you when some then lose some.

 

so many lies they find you a trip that is why you work for them and 50% of the money they give you is intended for the fuel also when buying fuel you get free showers

 

Also you don't have to get the 50% you can just get what us needed for fuel
