does anyone have a good idea what this means? how long it would most likely take to get fixed?

check engine light came on for this yesterday, did not have any power loss or and symptoms really other than the light coming on/

    its a 2007 cummins isx 550hp

I just had this fault show up as well. Had the entire after treatment system replaced 6 months ago. (You know how shops throw parts at a problem instead of taking the time to troubleshoot!) Have you checked out Rawze's YouTube channel? Very informative, even though he doesn't work on the exact engine I have, he explains the theory which works for what I've got. Check out his EGR Tune-up series... hope this fixed the problem. But before you start turning wrenches, stock up on anti-sieze and throttle body cleaner!

It's a headache is what it is.

Seems to trip every time the weather has been cold and wet for a prolonged period of time.

For added fun it seems to happen every time I've got 3-4 days booked ahead of me and after I've left town. Not that my local shop likes seeing me darken their door. Parts are always a week away, (on another broken truck, waiting for parts)

All day long I could SMELL it. It didn't smell right and the idle has a different quality to it. More bass, coarser. Then as sure as you know it the light comes on just as I'm pulling into the T/A. Day one of a 3 day round. The home shop is 400 miles behind me and I'm not using a Ryder sub for two days (plus the detour to get my truck back)

Run it till it breaks. It's only environmental BS anyway.

I had a similar issue with the truck. 2 codes came on with a engine light stating this...

    EGR Delta Pressure
    DPF Fuel
    Injector 1
    No Response

Peterbilt said they were unable to diagnose the issue because they were inactive codes..

Not sure if it's BS or True.... they wiped the computer clean and told me to drive the truck and if they come on again than to bring it back.

My truck is at Peterbilt right now for that code. They say my DPF fuel injector #1 needs replaced... Waiting on Aftermarket warranty I purchased when I bought the truck to OK repair...

    steve092 Thanks this.

That injector 1 is it the urea injector?

Were your lights active or inactive when Peterbilt scanned your computer and also how much is it going to cost to replace?

I'm going back there in a couple hours to get something out of the truck and will get further details... The light would show active with truck key in ignition, then when started it would show inactive... I'm not sure on the urea injector, will check on that... Same with price.... Going on 3 hours now and still waiting for Truck Masters warranty to respond...

So It turns out it is the Dozer Injector #7 for after treatment system that is the cause behind the problems... According to the mechanic it always will come up Injector #1 when its part of the DPF system

So the cost is $1129.00 my aftermarket warranty I purchased through Truck Masters gave the ok to fix the issue and are covering it minus my $250 deductible...
