Yeah in MS it's just that you wanna better job. I was making 30k a year and qualified for the grant. Which surprised me. But I went from 30k to making 60k a year driving a truck. I'm much better off. Lol

Good advice posted so far. Take the WIOA Pennsylvania program or Roehl Transport.
Roehl will get you on the road sooner, but if that's not important, the WIOA program will do the job.

 

Federal Student Loans. There is usually a Officer who will have your forms and then your money is paid direct to the school YOU will get a copy of the check and a promissory note to pay it back.

Federal; Loans are hard bolted to you and your future. It literally is irrevelant if you are unemployed, sick, disabled, a student etc etc etc. Uncle Sam garnishes around 30,000 Social Security Disability Checks each month because people allow themselves to fall down and not be paying on time for those loans. And yes your bank account will be closed until you pay Uncle Sam if need be. Be very careful to have your montly money come out of just that one account all by it's lonesome. No other bills or money or even the same bank as the rest of your stuff. That way if Uncle Sam decides you are a bad boy with the student loans he will close that account and lock it. Whatever is in it is GONE. Do not let the rest of your bills and money be inside that bomb as well. You could be homeless in a month.

 

Sometimes they send the US Marshall's to your house wearing SWAT gear to collect that student loan.

I love and appreciate our Law Enforcement, with that said; 9-11 has caused a pernament break and created a sort of a monster that has become overly rough on the Cookie Monster in favor of Prosecution and Enslavement. Eh?

 

Our local college does. My sister was loading planes at the airport for FedEx and she told me about a driving job opening. I told her to apply for it and she tells me that a Class A was needed. I told her to run down to the local community college and find out how much.
There were grants available, but time was of the essence for that particular job. Straight out of pocket, for the school was $1200. I gave her $1200 and she applied for that driving job.
When FedEx found out that she was in CDL school, they offered to pay for the school AND gave her a $3000 sign on bonus. I got my $1200 back.
So she got a job where she runs 3-4 miles 3x a day between Amazon and the airport. No touch. Pure doorslammer. Back up to the dock and wait. Gravy.

 

IF she ever gets bored in the Gravy Train, tell her off. Don't let her jump the ship.
