Had a c15 twin turbo rebuilt 100000 miles ago. My manifold pressure gauge goes to 60 regularly. I'm afraid of engine damage if I push it more. Is there such a thing as too much pressure?
C15 manifold pressure. How much is too much?

Doesn't sound good.I would think 22 or 23 would be normal.Maybe all the way to 30 when you are pushing it.Is that Guage working correctly? Yikes

Twins are fine to 60 and more actually.....mine hits gate about 57 no issues......but if u set much above 60.....you have to drive carefully....you'll have to roll into it a lil easier&do not chop the throttle above 60.....
25-33 or so typically normal specs for stock single turbo c15Diesel Dave, BUMBACLADWAR and SAR Thank this. -
I had one that went to 70 lbs and more. 60 isn't going to hurt.KB3MMX, ‘Olhand, peterbilt_2005 and 1 other person Thank this.

You're right.I was thinking "single".Totally missed the twin part.‘Olhand Thanks this.

Thanks, actually rebuilt twice in 3 months. First time had a cracked head (new). Don't want to go through that expense again.

Rebuild twice in three months ? Crack head the first you say, what about the second time ? Did they check the protrusions when replacing the head ?
-
Not uncommon for a hot rodded single turbo to go 60+ either
