I'm not sure what they do with those mattresses, but they certainly aren't selling them again. And every new mattress I've ever bought was sealed in plastic so you'd notice if there was anything on the outside.

Ever since I saw an episode of a hotel impossible w/ mattresses infested w/ bed bugs I always check no matter what or where. & that habit paid off a couple years back . I was starting to drive for a new company and noticed a new mattress still in plastic. Great right? Still I lifted the mattress & shone the flash light on the bottom of the bunk where I saw tons of "dead" bed bugs. Hurried up & threw my stuff out of the truck which by the GRACE OF GOD did not get infested & told her what I found. She had the nerve to be upset & told me that the truck had been empty for 6months in cold winter & the bugs were dead. Except bedbugs can go dormant for up to 1year when there's no food/blood. & the cold doesn't kill them anyway. Close call!Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this.
