I always hear odd things about that company. Seems like a bizarre reason to reject you.
Only correlation I can see is if you wanted to park the truck at the house. Either way, in NJ, you can't be THAT far from an interstate...
What made you guys decide to work for Schneider?

true story....
werner rejected my application...... -
Why are you applying to Werner??? Thought you had your dream job.
-
I think it was before now, everyone is talking about why they came to Schneider
mickeyrat and Home_on_wheels Thank this. -
They were right across the street from Werner. In Dallas Texas. Seriously. I just got of truck driving school and went to Werner. They had too many students and not enough trainers. I was tired of staying in that hotel for nearly a month. So I left. Schneider's training program was very good. I had a trainer at the Dallas terminal for a week driving around Dallas and in the yard. They made me stay an extra week to improve before they let me out with an OTR trainer. I agreed with them because I barely got any driving time with Werner. Then I was with my OTR trainer for two weeks and then I got my own truck. This was back in 2011 I left Schneider in 2013 when they slowed the trucks down to 60MPH from 63 and they started to micromanage too much for me. When I brought the truck I have now early in 2016, I wanted to go back to Schneider as an O/O but I was told that their weren't hiring any O/O with their own trucks until the summer. I obviously couldn't wait that long so I leased on to another company.

What part of jersey are you in? Im in south jersey about 20 minutes from philly, and had TMC on my list to apply to. In fact, TMC had recruiters come to our school a couple times while I was there.
-
I'm also in South Jersey, a little over an hour from Philly. During his 2nd visit to our school, the TMC recruiter had also found it strange that I never got a reply back after filling out their application. He said he would find out the reason why I didn't get a reply but I never heard anything from him again. Later I had called TMC myself and that's when I found out the reason I was rejected.
