I ran regional dry bulk for Walpole inc.Its not a bad gig lots of standing in the rain cold and hot to watch pressure gauges.Depending on the load you can plug up a silo and blow off line if you pump it off with to much pressure. Its a pain to unplug .I hauled lime it sucked.

I switched to hopper bottoms way more money.A lot less b.s. to deal with.

Have you heard the same from drivers at similar companies on the hometime for regional? What do you think of a dry bulk job thats cents per mile and demmurge pay only?
-
I got paid 23%of load.I would want to be paid by the load and not the mile.Driving is the easy part.It may take you up to three plus hours to blow off a load.I get paid depending on the plant 15.00 a hour wait time after first hour.
Danch Thanks this. -
Could you give me an example of the pay for an average load?
-
Dry bulk my biggest paying load was 50.00 and withe hopper I take a load that's 38 miles and get paid 65.00 most loads range from 75 to 110 a load on hopper I do three loads a day

With the tank running the same amount of loads my check was 850-950 with the hopper my check averages about 1300
