    I'm a company driver pulling tank now but if n when I decide to get my own truck nit sure of direction. Been pulling tank 9 months but before that pulled heavy equipment for 15 years. Mostly 4 axle tractor pulling 3 axle detach trailer permitted to 120,000. Most of what I've pulled equipment wise kept that maxed out to.

    As an owner op. Youll' make greater $ in the Ab. Oilfield. but you had 15 years HH ...which could make me wrong .....more thoughts ?

    Based on this, Americans talk 4 axle tractor, we talk Tri-drive. Ab was a typo, the N is next to the B

    Not at this point in time you won't. The AB oilfield and HH markets are supersaturated with equipment at this point in time...they're like pirhannas cutting each others throats out there just trying to survive right now. At year end 2016 was 51% of my best year! I don't work cheap, which means I barely work as there are countless guys lined up willing to work for less than me just to make their payments. I've got $$$ in the bank and wait, when the time is right, I'll buy their equip for $0.25 on the dollar. Won't pay a penny more.
    That, or they'll kill the rates so bad I'll either park it or sell high when it starts to come back.

    I have 15 years dragging equipment around but I was working for construction companies while doing it. I was technically an operator that could drive truck. Out on the big road dragging state to state I've only got experience in tank. It seems the chemical industry is doing well and according to projections will continue for some time. Honestly I'm feeling thats the direction I should focus my business venture. But I really do miss pulling big ol object that stay still. I prob wont be doing anything in way of my own truck for another 6 mos or so. Still a lot of research I wanna do
