Started my morning by going to the wrong plant. I didn't see the side street I was suppose to turn on. No lights to see the sign. I stood at the window outside for 10mins before the lady checking drivers in came to the window. She was just having a conversation that wasn't even about work. Once we came to the conclusion I'm at the wrong location. I get turned around and head out. See the road I'm suppose to take. And basf to my left. Get checked a few minutes before my 0800 appt time. Been having a red light for about 30mins now. No motion in the trailer. Hope they don't take forever to load. This load delivers at noon today. I'm only 1hr 30mins away. Hopefully I get a reload as soon as I deliver. Otherwise I'm just wasting hours. For a 56 mile load.

After delivering in Hudsonville got an assignment to pick up in Wyandotte. I was running low on hours so decided to park at a rest area about 2hrs away. Went to bed it was 40 degrees. Woke up to it being 15 degrees and snowing. I get down to Wyandotte around 12 only to be told my load won't be ready until 6. Great my clock is ticking away. Told I can drop my mty and they will call when the other trailer is loaded. So I went to the flying j about 5 miles away. Had nothing to do so I took a nap. Got a call about 630. My load is finally ready. By that time I only had just a little over 3hrs on my 14. Get hooked up and roll on out. Decided I was going to go as far as I can. I found a rest area with one spot left. By this time I had on 30mins left on my 14. Was kind of pushing it. The nearest truck stop was at least 45mins to an hour away.

Before I went to bed I let dispatch know it was no way I was going to make otd. They said it was ok just roll on in. Wake up this morning to it snowing. It snowed pretty much all the way down to Tennessee. Made my delivery at southeastern freightlines here in Knoxville. Turned out to be a drop. They had a mty waiting for me. Came down the road to get the trailer washed out at the blue beacon. Now I'm at the j parked for the night. Got my next load assignment. Pick up in Sparta, TN and deliver in McAllen,TX 1200 miles.

Been sitting at the receiver for over an hour now. When I came in there where 5 other kllm trucks here. All gone now. I'm the only truck here waiting to be loaded. On my way here it was clear up until I got a few miles into Sparta. The snow just started coming down. Traffic slowed down to 50-55. Had ran a stopped sign due to the ice. Couldn't get the truck to stop. Thank God no one was coming. Hoping to be out of here soon. Be safe drivers.

After waiting for two hours finally got a door. Didn't take long to get loaded. About the time I start to head out it had stop snowing in Sparta. Coming down to Alabama the company wanted me to take 399 West to 108 to 28. I had a feeling I should just stay on 111. But trying to keep my out of Route miles low. I took their route. I will never take that way again. Came into a curve and almost met a truck head on. When my nerves are up I like to chew gum. Almost went through the whole pack. Now I'm here in Birmingham. Decided to stop. A car spinning out on 20 help make my mind up. The roads are starting to get slick. I hope it don't get to bad where i can't leave in the morning. Already got my extra load. I will be picking up in Laredo and taking that load up to Wyandotte. Keep them miles coming.

Shut down last in Birmingham. I20 was a mess this morning. It took me 2hrs just to get 20miles down the road. Traffic was being diverted to exit 104 when the on ramp came to a stop. Lost traction half way up. Tried to put cat liter in front of the tires. But it just wasn't doing. They open traffic back up at that exit. So two other drivers backed down the on ramp. No cars were behind me so I did the same. I couldn't go up the ramp unless I called for a tow. Seen multiple wrecks including one fatality.

I hate driving through Houston. Had one to many close calls. I guess we texan are the worst drivers lol. Made it down to Kingsville for the night. I'm just a little over 2hrs away from the receiver. I had a pp. But that load was cancelled. Hoping to have a load assignment before I deliver. More then likely I will pick up in Laredo and head back north.

Never been to the yard there. I'm assuming I'm going to pick up at Zuniga.

That load in McAllen turned out to be 2 stops. The company didn't send that info to me. The second stop was just around the corner from the first. By this time I didn't have a load info. So I called my boss to see what's up. He said I'm still on the load going to Michigan. That's great 1600 miles. He don't know why the weekend guys sent a void load. I'm sitting here in Laredo now with two other kllm driver. Looks like I'm going to be here a while. 4 other trucks are a head of me.
