Never thought of that before Mack. Good idea.
Our trucks seldom sit for long enough to develop problems, or they remain hooked up.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
They don't let us leave ours hooked up. That might be too efficient and we certainly can't have that.

Very Well put!! Love it!!

LOOK UP.
Be aware of how tall your truck is.
And how low the overhead power and phone lines are.
Read signs, don't be the guy that hits the 10'6 bridge with a 13'6 trailer. Slow down BEFORE you get to the bridge and keep an eye out to see if you will fit. You'll know right away. Before you hit it. -
Too bad the Swift driver that took down the clearance bar at a Walmart couldn't figure that out.

This deserves a bump for all you delivery rookies...and maybe some not-so-rookies. Everything on here is sound advice.
misterG, Jay5GS, Cardfan89 and 1 other person Thank this. -
treat every customer the same no special treatment, get out and look , NEVER ARGUE , and don't hurt yourself trying to move a 3k pound of flooring, and if you cant back it in ! call it in and get out of there...
and when you have a residential call the customer and make sure they are aware that the delivery is curbside only also if you cant reload the freight make sure have them sign before you drop it cause if its the wrong color its your problem !!!!
am i the only person who wears ear plugs on the dock and when off loading or waiting on the dock for the shipper to load me?Last edited: Aug 29, 2021
