I would make a list of what you want, and then compare it to what companies have to offer. Private carriers usually pay more and have better home time and more predictible lanes. Print a copy of the Transport Topics top 100 lists for private carriers and truckload carriers and do your homework.

Are you trying to start WWIII on the forums?!
Seriously though it will not just depend on the company but also on the position inside that company.
Good luck to you.CasanovaCruiser and street beater Thank this. -
If there was such a company that was "the BEST"in everything, don't you think drivers would be lining up to drive for them?
Your definition of best will not apply to another driver's definition of best.
Find a company that meets YOUR needs and go from thereLav-25, mpm, street beater and 3 others Thank this. -
What steel said. Keep in mind only a small fraction of companies are even worth looking at (10% or less I'd say) the rest keep you out forever or you will have bad checks for whatever reason. Do your research, ask questions, and after countless hours you may find a company that matches what your looking for

What's the best trucking job out their? The one that your happiest with.
Best pay and benefits? Probably a union job.
Work life and balance? Is there such a thing in trucking for new hiree's? Maybe if you built seniority and got a desirable run, because new hiree's usually get the crap runs.
Too many factors goes into what is considered THE BEST JOB, like do you like being micromanaged, night work, OTR or local, physical or non physical, etc., etc., etc.
Only YOU can answer that question. What's considered best for you may not be best for others. -

I found out that there's no such thing as THE PERFECT JOB. There's ALWAYS something to complain about. It's what you can live with. You may love the pay and benefits, but hate the work environment. Or you may love the work environment, but hate the pay and bennies. There's always a combination of things that you will like about the job, and vice versa. It's what you're willing to accept.

Very subjective question. What is good pay for one driver, may not be for another driver. Same goes for home time. Trucking just has so many different variables that could make a driver not like a certain company.
Driver facing cameras? Facilities? Equipment? Etc.
