You could combine the containerpositions with other uses.

I"ve always used 5 straps. Per 10 ft rule.

Some places will want you to use chain though. And they usually take your trailer and load container for you. In california anyways. So i use 3 straps as evenly spaced as possible. To finish the securement.

Pulled for a company that had CTI on their trailers. They decided to disconnect the system when they couldn't keep wheel seals from blowing. I wouldn't waste my money on it...easy enough to just monitor my tire pressure the old fashioned way.

I strongly disagree with your assertion. Tire inflation system should almost be a requirement. With equipment being such a large investment, why not protect it?

Trust me I have over $25k in tires on my setup. Given my size and weight per axle and the danger/difficulty in have a road call - the system is virtually indispensable. maintenance free and will keep a tire inflated until the next safe spot for repair.

I bought a new trailer with Hendrickson tire inflation system. After 3 years of use it would not keep the tires inflated. After days of searching , testing, checking, squirting soapy water I gave up. I now use Crossfire on everything. Cheap, easy, simple. One glance and done.

I have not seen any of these but they use centrifugal force of the tire rolling to keep tires inflated. Kind of a cross between the auto inflation and the crossfire system.
