I haven't had time to get on as I have been pretty busy.
A few items that people getting a truck should buy as soon as they can:
Dry erase markers
Umbrella folder
Good pens
Good gloves
Paper towels
Paper plates (I got bowls too)
Plastic silverware
Babywipes (serves other purposes in emergency)
Simplegreen cleaner
Small handheld broom
5 gallon bucket (serves other purposes in emergency)
4 gallon trash bags
Lighter leash (if you are a smoker to hang above you to light with. It won't get lost and you can pay attention to the road.)
2 cases of water for back up
Bread
Peanut butter and jelly swirl
Twin xl sheet
King size pillow
King size pillow case
Dryer sheets
Duffle or laundry bag
Dry food
Rags and towels
Oil rags
Now the rest is not essential, but will save headaches and money:
12v cooler (I bought the Coleman from Walmart)
Headset (I bought the Roadking RK400 and have no issues, and it is cheaper than blueparrot)
12v lunch box oven (I still need to get this but it is not an essential. Just makes things a little more comfortable.)
With this stuff life on the road will be a lot easier. I make sandwiches, cereal, milk, pretty much anything I want, and my truck is clean and organized. -TenGears -

Noted, thanks. On day 2 of the GYCDL program, and it's going great so far. Already started my list. Be safe out there
TenGears Thanks this. -
Question for you TEN, from the time you stepped foot into classroom until you got your own truck, how much time we talking. I have some driving experience so hope I can breeze through it faster then normal. Thanks bro Congrats on the Solo...Not a big Fan of Freightshakers is that all they run?
TenGears Thanks this. -
4 weeks phase 1, 15 days phase 2, and phase 3 is you in your own truck. There is no shortcut unless you already hold a legal/valid CDL-A.jzw, TenGears and DieselPunk Thank this.

Okay not looking for SHORT CUT, was just asking, 4 weeks is tolerable THANK YOU
TenGears Thanks this. -
Miss read that sorry still not to bad

Roehl runs predominantly Freightliner Cascadia and International ProStar.
TenGears and firemedic2816 Thank this. -
I'm in marshfield Wisconsin in training right now and it's not too bad. 4 weeks in class and in the yard, 10 to 16 days with a driver trainer, then you get your truck. They have freightliner and international but it looks like they're switching over to ask freightliner with all the 2017 stuff I see rolling through the gatesTenGears Thanks this.
