You're going to be fine dude. Dispute the hell out of everything on your DAC report. Half the time, the company will fail to respond and all information relevant to your employment there will be deleted. I had a company try to trash my DAC report. It took getting my attorney to threaten them with a nasty letter. Then I disputed my DAC and they were too scared to respond. All trace of having worked for that company was deleted. You can try that strategy.
Litigate the ticket. First by trial by written declaration. If the officer doesn't respond, you win automatically. If he responds and you lose, file a motion for a Trial de Novo, and hire a lawyer to go to court for you. Drag it out as long as possible. Remember, you're not even considered guilty of this "offense" until you are actually convicted by the traffic court. Innocent until proven guilty applies here. You don't have to tell a prospective employer you have this on your driving record unless they ask about pending cases specifically--until your final court date, if you actually get convicted.

Don't worry be happy. As long as your still breathing someone will hire you. Also, think some companies will hire you as long as you have not been dead over 72 hours!

The other truck had the Right of Way because he was coming from the left and op either made a right on red or blew a stop sign. Well, that's what I come up with. And I actually hope that I am wrong.
Why do I hope I am wrong?
Because my being right means he had to see the other truck.
A friend of mine's daughter got pregnant at 15. By some kid that she hardly knew. I asked her why in the blue blazes was she having unprotected sex with strange boys and she said, "But Six, I never got pregnant before." So, this wasn't an accident. This is the result of a bad habit (something done over and over again without thinking).
And that's the part that I am having trouble with. I am hoping that I am wrong. If that truck came from the left, you had to have seen him. But those 'habits' are what you are wired to do.

He was making a right from the inside right turn lane.

Since everyone wants to know. I was running on a dedicated account. It was around 12 am. I had done the same load earlier that day. I commute about 2 hours getting to my job each day. Then I had a whole day of 14 hour work to do. So there's this small town I go through to get to my consignee. It's a ghost town around that time. I slowed down to about 5mph at the intersection which are one ways, looked left and didn't see anything. Took a second look and didn't see anything and when I made my turn, a steel fruit trailer was all I saw.
No one was injured, I had taken most of the impact, I was a bit sore but I seem to be ok. -

You may not believe this, but back in the day, you were known by your handle. Even the desk jockeys called you by your handle. I've known a few drivers whose wives called them by their handle.
I had a friend that was known as 107. I never knew his real name. EVERYONE that knew him that didnt truck all called him 107. In Smokey and the Bandit, Snowman's kids refered to the Bandit as Uncle Bandit.Big_Red, coastietruckin', AM14 and 4 others Thank this.
