No idea what you make during training now, sorry. Any of the recruiters could answer that though. I know that the pay per mile went up, not sure if they are still doing combined miles.

That's good, hope everything goes well for you this time! Practice lots with games and a toy, I heard, and watch some videos that should helpSteelersjunkie and FLYMIKEXL Thank this.

Yup. However, freight always slows around the holidays for a bit. Seems to be more so for regional. But, I've been steady.Diablolover2 Thanks this.

Today was certainly one for the books. I feel like I definitely earned my stripes today. 400 miles of twisted mountain roads. Sleet/frozen rain this morning, heavy rain after that. Then sat in the shop for an hour and a half getting a trailer repair. Welcome to the deep end of the pool. If I can handle today, I can handle anything.
FalconsFan21, Diablolover2, FLYMIKEXL and 3 others Thank this. -
Question for you Steeler. Millis says good home time but what do you do with your truck when you go home? I live in indiana, I didn't know if they had to have a secure place or just a truck stop.
-
I have a truck stop 10 minutes from home. I put my truck in reserved parking there. The only alternative I have is leaving my car in Trenton. No way that's happening. I'd have to drive 3 hours home, then 3 back for home time. Plus my car would be exposed to the elements for 6 weeks at a time. $12 a night for parking is what I pay, and it's worth every penny.FalconsFan21 Thanks this.

You can park it anywhere. I used to park mine at a walmart with the managers permission. Just lock your doors and if under a load padlock the load.

Ok thanks I just wondered how you got home for your hometime. From where I live, it's probably 3 hours to the school. Honestly I'm stuck making a decision about where I want to attend school,if I get the med card. It seems both places are 3-6 hours from my house in northern Indiana.
