Hahahaha you keep on believing that....If you think a company is going to pay what they do for the cameras and not have control then you don't need to say anything else. That has been the Millis party line on cameras since the beginning and its no secret they flat out lied about it, among other things. Yes, things happened before you got here so, unfortunately, you have no idea...and I quote...you have no clue, grasshoppa...end of quote....now how about a ocean front lot in Iowa I've got for sale.....you can have it cheap

 

So in your theory does Millis have 800 or 1600 people in office to watch these activities? Or do they just randomly decide I want to check on Joe Driver? What is so hard to believe that this system actually works as they say it does. Your theories make very little sense. It is conspiracy theories like yours that are tainting this industry. Making it more difficult to get safe quality people back into a once proud profession. Give it a break. I believe (drinking the kool-aide as you may say) they are telling the truth in regard to the camera system. You seem like a reasonable person but some of your ideas just can't be supported either in theory or financially. Hard to believe you would sell that ocean front property in Iowa......with your train of thought it may actually be ocean front and the maps lie!

The friend I mentioned that has been driving with Millis says the camera only activates if there is an incident. I have known this person for a very long time and I have never known him to lie.

 

Here's the thing: DriveCam is the second camera service Millis has used. They used one called SmartDrive for a while; I'll admit that I don't know anything about the SmartDrive system (my first truck didn't have a camera at all and that was during the days when they used it instead of DriveCam) so for all I know, they did have the ability to activate those whenever they wanted. I've had this truck with DriveCam since October of 2015, and I've never had it go off for no reason. Also, as I've mentioned in other forum posts, I worked for an ambulance service that uses DriveCam and my sister who works as a supervisor there has access to the system. She says there is no way to access the cameras remotely, and you can only watch incidents that have already been uploaded to the servers.

Again, it could have been different with the old system and I have no experience with that one.
