I've just got into '13 Cascadia and am trying to install CB. It fit nicely, but there is nothing there to hold it. I mean in overhead compartment. Should there be a strap or any other gizmo? What am I missing?

It's CB not CBS of course. Darn phone

Directly above your seat to the right, there's a sunglass holder. That pops out, you can access the Torx screws to remove that panel. It goes in there.

Get a bigger radio and it can't fall out
P
mhyn Thanks this. -
I know where it goes, but that darn thing would fall out and smack me in the head. And I don't want bigger radio.

There should be a bracket on the back side of it, i don't have a picture of it but some one might pot it. I asked a dealer for one but he wants $50 for it so i decided on different location.

How I did it

The truck came with a bracket behind that sunglass holder. It is just tossed in there and not installed as that wouldn't allow sunglass holder to be mounted. Probably it was taken by a previous driver. You can find a replacement for 12$-15$. Usually can be found at truck stop with decent cb accessories selection. I went thru same thing with a used cascadia and found replacement without issue.

Velcro along the bottom front edge of the radio with the other half stuck to the bottom front lip on the hole. 5 bucks. KISS

There should be 2 metal brackets there. One for left and the other for rights side. The brackets have holes that attach to the side screws of the CB.
If it's not there, heavy duty velcro should work, too.
