Like others have mentioned, get a 1500-2000 watt inveterer and stick with a microwave/ electric skillet or grill set up. I have a 1000 w microwave and a 1200 w electric skillet, use em both daily.

The "camping" method might save a couple dollars, but seems like a disaster waiting to happen if ya not careful.

This sounds good... but once I start smelling food... I will be to hungry to drive. Lol
This is why I was looking into other options. We have a gas stove at home... so there will be a learning curve for electric cooking. Lol
Good thing my husband isn't a picky eater like me....I will keep sandwich stuff, just in case. :)

I carry two cylinders all winter, the one I use to thaw my tank valves and a spare.

A long time ago, in career far, far away I used to use a Coleman stove bungeed to a troop seat with a coffee pot bungeed on top and made coffee as I rolled down tank trails in my M113. That was living.
