You're best bet is start knocking on some doors and see if they train new drivers.Here some do some don't.They go on a case to case basis.

Find a company that you can stay with for one year that won't get you:
A. Killed
B. Divorced
C. Bankrupt
D. Totally disgusted with the trucking industry
Once you accomplish that, you have a better chance of finding a local gig, while learning more about the industry and it's do's and don'ts. Good luck

What kind of jobs are yoy looking to get into? Dry , Flat, tanker??? As @Chinatown said, Howard, Eagle,Epes,Relaible,CR England are sime of the companies that have dedicades/local accounts...which school have you attended if you dont mind me asking??
