But fifteen years ago I own my own truck I ran out hard for 2 years but my way of thinking back then who I wanted to be home every night and I bought a lemon. I did all the repair work myself when it came to repairs so I know what it entails, ive gone to diesel school, unless warranty I do the repairs. I've been local 18 years and I was also a logistics manager for 5 of them. I am tired of doing local work and need to get out on the road. I cannot see being a company driver make in 600 to 1200 a week being gone anywhere from 5 to 21 days at a clip & driving an under powered junk, But being a lease purchase operator or even an owner operator I should be able to do better than that. My next dream job would be working as a freight conductor making a hundred and fifteen Grand a year but again I'm trying to get in there I even know the train master and even he can't give me in, but I will not give up!

To a point you can't do that as a lp either not only are your home bills due now you've added the cost of running a truck down the road with weekly expenses. So if u are gonna make it you have to chase the freight even more home time should be the last thing on your mind if you plan on doing a lp but that's just one mans opinion

Unless your loaded, I would not get a DB truck through quality.
1st, their trucks are not rebuilt mechanically, just a really nice exterior.
2nd, you have no experience with QC. I work out of the same terminal as QC. I occasionally see some DB trucks, but those guys have been with QC for a while and know the system and get the good paying lanes.

In my humble opinion, you are setting yourself up for failure.

I didn't see that you have any tanker experience either. Buy a truck that's mechanically sound and learn the business first.

Thanks for the input, I know trucking business and know what it takes to succeed, but like you said the guys that's been there a while get the good paying loads. Every business starts out slow or rocky, that's to be expected. So I'm guessing not all mechanical is rebuilt but I know some are to a degree, weather is a full in frame or just a lower end, each truck may be different. It's a lil better than just getting a newer lease truck that we all know is beat and not nothing rebuilt, and may or may have warranty left.
Db trucks all come with a warranty of some type, engine, trans, rears and paint. But I know warranty only as good as the repair.

I went to tanker school and passed with a 98, it aint all that difficult, I am a self learner so being trained just makes it easier and faster for me to learn it. I still need the required on the job training and I'm not worried about that.
I've hauled everything BUT live stock and swinging meat, and don't feel challenged doing the rest so that's why I'm wanting to do tankers

Sounds like you got it all figured out so I assume you got the down payment DB requires and have already put in your app with QC so all that is left to say is good luck and please keep us informed on your wonderful journey with QC and DB

Lmao, I sence a lot of sarcasm there...
But I will keep in touch with all the ups and downs with their program.
In my own defense I have read all reports on here as well as the reviews, and yes their is a lot of negative reviews, but I researched their reviews with the actual drivers that had the trucks that returned and came out with more positive then negatives.
I realize theirs always pros and cons in a carrier but I'm pretty confident in my final decision, which I'll make after I review lease terms and trucks.

If I want to be disgruntle and drive a mack I'd go company, but I'd also be at their mercy to get me home and to send me were the want not were I want. Although they have benefits unlike and owner operator does lol. My mind is never fully made up until every and all doubts are cleared up. I've walked away from plenty of deals that were on the table leaving the other guys kicking and screaming.
