Here in Maryland I've paid 30% of what I make to taxes, benefits etc. So at $700 take home that's 1000/week, 52K per year gross. Isn't that what TMC states on their website for first year drivers?

Unless you pay significantly less in taxes etc.

Just your standard taxes. I've talked to my fleet manager to try to get better paying loads, but it doesn't seem to help.

I've heard so many different things on the pay. Do you have a pay stub to prove you bring home $1,000 per week? Other people are saying they just bring home $650-$700 per week with 8 months experience. All of this sounds like mixed opinions. I don't want to go on the road for no $650 a week. Thanks

What Michel10 said is correct. I was talking gross pay. Your pay is based on every factor you have no control of. The only thing you can control is getting the load delivered on time.

I'm just trying to help some people make an educated decision about TMC. I'm going through it right now, just putting my opinion on it

I'm just worried about the pay. I currently have no cdl and I just got a TMC acceptance letter today. I just don't want to be gone 5 days a week just bring home $650-$700 a week. I can almost get a job like that around home and be home every night.

Almost? Sounds.like you want to start out with experienced driver pay with no experience. Bringing home 650-750 a week off the start is pretty darn good money for a rookie. But maybe you should take that "almost" money and just stay home. This is a tough, often lonely business, and it chews up and spits out those with unreasonable expectations.
