Another option is to talk to:
Mechanics/shop personel (mom and pop shops)
Owner operators
or anybody else in the trucking industry within your area.
Tell them you are looking to buy a truck, and most of the time, one of them will say something like "Ole so and so is selling his, he is tired of trucking, let me give you his number". Depending on their situation you maybe able to buy a truck with seller financing - you just pay the owner until its paid off. If you have atleast $5k to put down, some will entertain the idea if they have an truck just setting there.
If you go this route - This is key right here. Talk to them every week or two until you find one. This will show that you are persistent.
I did this with the truck that I'm buying this week, it took a few months and then one day, BAM!
In fact, I had another guy call me 2 weeks ago trying to sell his truck on terms because he can't drive anymore from health issues.kimbosa Thanks this. -
When you're denied credit they list all the possible reasons which may or may not apply to you. Best bet is to call them and see what they say.
With that if you have enough saved for a down payment at lone mountain but still have bad debt your priorities are in the wrong place -
There's NOTHING these credit repair companies can do for you that you cannot do for yourself. I took my credit score from a 534 to (as of today) 693 in 24 months. When I started, I couldn't get a Verizon account without a 500 dollar deposit. Today, I have an American Express, new 5.3l crewcab Silverado, and 55k in available credit through various credit cards. There's a ton of valuable resources out there. Myfico.com forum is a good place to start. In my opinion, if you really wanna succeed as an o/o, fix your credit. It's not as hard as you think, just time and persistence. If you go to a bad credit dealer, you'll end up paying for the truck three times before it's paid off, which is a good way to fail.truckerlife74, Pork Chop Express, jbatmick and 1 other person Thank this.

You could work for J.E. Transport for a couple years and have the extra money to pay cash for a truck after a year or two and avoid the interest payments.

Forget about pay for credit repair sites. Check this site out. It has everything you need.

My credit was below yours and they approved me...I had no income, but I did have a place I was leasing onto. Best of luck to you.

^^^^ This site is INVALUABLE!! Use it, ask questions, and do not be afraid to take YOUR credit into your hands. I 100% agree most of the so-called credit repair companies are a plain rip-off. You can do everything they can, all it takes is time and effort. I have been there, trust me creditboards.com was a life saver.

Get your credit report free (once a year) from all three companies... look at your reports and fix anything that is wrong or incorrect...
