A tanker truck rolled over and caught fire this morning. Driver did not survive. The 33/161 eastbound ramp to I270 north will be closed for about a week.

Very sad to read that
-
Yes it is a shame.
-
Sorry to hear that. Any word on what company?
-
Sad. I was working less than a mile from that entrance to 270 this morning. Flames and huge black smoke were immense. Could not tell which company was involved or if any other vehicles were involved. So very sad, prayers to the family of the driver.
Big Don Thanks this. -

This interchange was under heavy construction for the longest time and just reopened recently too. That and the rain, wonder what happened.

I knew it was bad when I heard of the extent of the road closures.
I wonder if somebody cut him off, or he lost control? There is not much curve to that new ramp, but of course you would have to take it slower if you're yanking a tank.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Speed.
Those gas cans go by me with wreck less abandon everywhere.
There's some black dude in a KAG tanker around here, I guarantee we will be reading about him someday in a similar post.longbedGTs, mjd4277, Mike2633 and 1 other person Thank this.
