Another Chinese radio, it is ok but I like my little SDR radio that costs about a third and is more versatile. I didn't buy one of these, I've borrowed one and used it for a week.

I don't have any qualms against you getting the equipment you want, especially if it doesn't make the CB band worse than it already is. Ridgeline, however, seems bothered that you might want a frequency counter in your truck.

No not at all, but the thing I think is funny is watching someone trying to figure out what channel is 27.185 when it is on the dial.

Really you want an honest answer, Ham radio people are one of the worst drivers on the road. It has been that way since the first mobile station was moving. Cb'ers are not too far behind. Dials buttons and knobs are the worst thing in a mobile, for both sets of people. I can't stand when anyone (even a ham) has to deal with the radio and not the road.

In the past, not too distant past at that, I have been a passenger with some guys who have freq counters (not the ones that get connected to the radio but use coax from the radio and to the antenna) and they would key up and instead of watching the road, they sit in amazement that the numbers are all moving when they talk while swerving back and fourth between a couple lanes at high speeds.

Not saying anyone is stupid here to do that but I bet there are a lot of truckers out there that are doing just that.
