But as a student, it's the same pay either way ..I thought it was after 15 k miles you were good to go anyways.

I'm new in this thread. I'm getting ready to start school with Millis in February. Going to Burleson TX school. My recruiter is Peggi and from what I understand she told me it would be .42/ mile for every mile the trainer truck runs. I hope that it's true and there's not some sorta catch to that.

 

She is telling the truth. If it comes from Peggie's mouth it's the truth

 

Excellent. I already had that impression of her, but it's nice to have a confirmation of that. I have a pretty good B.S. detector and I really felt like she was (and still is) a straight shooter. I have held my CDL's before and let them go. (like an idiot) Anyway, I said that because I have been OTR and have dealt with this sort of thing. I'm really impressed with Peggi and with Millis so far!! Thanks

 

$.42 for all miles do they run trainers truck as a team truck?

 

Peggi told me that they do NOT run them as teams. I specifically asked that question because I've ran teams before and I hated every minute of it. I can't sleep in a moving vehicle. She said the student does most of the driving, and the trainer may (or may not) choose to drive a little further if he has hours available to get to a more advantageous position, but other than that, you both go off duty at the same time. DISCLAIMER: I am a prospective student and haven't experienced this myself yet. I'm sure there are guys on here that can verify if I'm right.
