Ive got a dedicated run up to NYC. I gotta say, I love it. Sure, traffic picks up on the NJTP, and the GW can take 10 minutes or two hours depending on what's going on but drivers are pretty courteous and they drive a hell of a lot better (more sense) than drivers in the south.

I'm hanging onto this run til I die or the company loses the contract.

I don't know man...after all these years I still get a tad intimidated in the inner city....just so tight and so many cars parked that if IF something happens and you get turned around you are screwed! And God forbid someone hits my old Pete I will friggin cry!

I will still go in IF the receiver has all night receiving....which seems to be happening more and more for flatbed stuff.

NYC is not all that bad. In my opinion the biggest drawback is the condition of the roads. It beats your vehicle up... motorcycle, car or truck. Bicycle for that matter.

Every time I went up through there, coming off the GWB, I had to either replace a mirror or a mud flap on or something that fell off when I hit those HUGE pot holes at the bottom of the bridge.

I took my wife there once, had to deliver in Manhattan at 8 am and she got to spot a few entertainers walking around but she could not believe what the traffic was like, she said it is worse than LA.

Nooo! L.A. wins that race by a country mile. NYC has nothing on LA when it comes to traffic.
