Are you just trying to get people to guess why with that statement or are you just one of those anti establishment types?redoctober83, Bean Jr. and Mattflat362 Thank this.

Both. I like your reply. -
I naturally feel the need to stir the pot.

We all should. It is our duty as Americans to constantly stir all pots everywhere.
jamespmack and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
When the darn, made for rabbits, elogs are in place..., at least they won't see me on my 34 when I come to my truck and change a tire, or say hello to it. Maybe, they will send a drone hovering, spying what I do. Technically, when I wake up in the middle of the night and leave my sleeper to go to a bathroom, I interrupt my sleeper time as well.Right? What if they came up with a mandatory incabin camera watching you breathe and fart. They making rabbits out of us.

I own my truck and for the most part use it occasionally even when I'm at home.
Therefore when I'm driving it without a trailer or anything like that, I don't log it when I fill it up because quite simply what I do on my personal time is my business and not the governments.
While this may be against fmcsa rules (don't know, don't really care) if they have a problem with it I will gladly take it to court. No difference if I drove and fill the tank in my regular vehicle. If I'm using my tractor for personal use, then I'm going to fill it up on my personal time.
Still have yet to be audited, but should they throw a fit about it I'll certainly let you know.Bean Jr., warrocgman, TallJoe and 2 others Thank this. -

best answer on the thread..... bunch of sheep..drinking the koolaid. Bottom line if you own it, what you do with it on your time is no one else's business. Even on ELD's you can fuel on your day off if you own it, but only IF you own it. That means your own authority. If you lease you are basically just a sub contractor governed by the rules of the "General Contractor". If you are using the truck for personal conveyance and you are a lease agent, you will be in violation as PC is solely for the true OP with own authority. That said, taking care of all your business during your on duty time is the best way. Tighten up, fly right, you wont have any problems.Last edited: Jan 28, 2017
