So far so good. Refrigeration is a whole lot of waiting. My husbands experience first week... While the company doesn't pay anything for a sign on bonus or tuition reimbursement, they do from what we see so far compensate well for time. My husband was put on a plane from Arizona to Oregon to pick up his truck. They paid him $50 to do it. Then after an hour of wait they pay you. $20 an hour. But, if you are only there for 10 minutes you will see that pay on your pay check. Also on short runs they pay you an an additional amount, or buy the hour. I'm not sure. I just can tell you that with Swift, who he was with for 17 months, you didn't see anything until after 2 hours waiting and at that you had to fight for it. Forget about getting paid extra or by the hour for a short haul. They just flat out lie to you and tell you that, "they will take care of you". Ha! That's a bold face lie!
I will update as we continue on the new journey. Oh, and no hair folic test for anyone wondering.

Will Marten let you ride with him?

I'm pretty sure they would but I don't want to. I'm a home body. Perfectly happy here at home with three dogs and two cats. My pool, my 1000 thread count sheets and anything else I want. Driving scares the crap out of me!
Protein Hauler and Chinatown Thank this. -
Do you have the Egyptian cotton sheets? They're good and long lasting.
-
Of course! The trick is buy on eBay. I was an internet market researcher. Now anyone that knows me knows I can find anything for really cheap.Protein Hauler and Chinatown Thank this.

I bought those sheets as a gift for the wife. The matching pillow was something around $97.00 but I don't care, she's worth it.
beachin, Protein Hauler and Bigrayon Thank this. -
Looking forward to hearing about the experience. One tip. In order to get layover pay, he has to ask for it. It's not automatic. They don't tell you this.
-
Detention is automatic, starting 1 hour after appointment time. Layover has to be cleared by your FM. Just throwing that out there in case there is any confusion.
-
What I was saying was that you have to request layover pay from your Fleet Manager. If you don't request it, you won't get it. That's been my experience.

I see they're pulling dry vans now too, must be growing the business.
