I'm buying this, truck, engine sounds very well, trans is perfect, suspension is I little bit, beat out.
My plan is use the truck otr, pulling 48ft flat, going were the money is, no special lanes, my plan is to drop at least another 10k in the truck. Maybe new compressor, king pins, maybe bearings , etc , any advice?
    3.70 rears, ?
    Small, sleeper and whellbase?
I like more be lightweight than have long wheel base and big sleeper
I'm like this truck because is lightweigth.
    Tanks for yours advice?

I'm not sure about the elog statement. I believe you have to have a much older truck.

The truck looks good. I wouldn't dump money into it all at once. Just fix what would get you stranded or fail an inspection. Let the truck make you money and fix it up as you go. Looks like a money maker.

Who is exempt from the ELD rule?
    PreviousNext

Drivers who use the timecard exception are not required to keep records of duty status (RODS) or use ELDs. Additionally, the following drivers are not required to use ELDs; however, they are still bound by the RODS requirements in 49 CFR 395 and must prepare logs on paper, using an Automatic On-Board Recording Device (AOBRD), or with a logging software program when required:

    • Drivers who use paper RODS for not more than 8 days out of every 30-day period.
    • Drivers who conduct drive-away-tow-away operations, where the vehicle being driven is the commodity being delivered.
    • Drivers of vehicles manufactured before 2000.

I was thinking of doing something similar and investing money as i go. I changed my mind. I am going to buy a truck that I can afford to do a complete overhaul on when i buy it, or one that has been overhauled and is still on the lot with all the paperwork. Not 300 k on rebuild. Im gonna move to Missouri before i buy. They gonna have to show me. I look at it like this, if I can get a warranty on it for a year or 6 months, i should make enough to buy the truck again if need be. Eld's wont bother me. If I cant make it work with in those time frames then my planning would be to blame.
