We were useing a friends address, but he just moved back to Ohio and we don't want a Ohio address. Thinking about asking his parents, so we can keep the FL address.
Either that or an RV mailing service.
Now theirs a business for someone. Cater specifically to truckers, nice big parking lot, so you can go get your mail. Located mostly near the "hub" cities. Maybe at one of the old 50's style hotels, rent rooms also but mostly use the rooms for storage. -
and your cdl in AL has your email for an address???????????
that is what OP is asking -
There is a difference between a residency and a mail drop, if you get into legal problems like one of my drivers did, then you have to have a legal residency, not a mail drop.
I would find a room that is for rent, pay by the year and use that actual address for your residency. or you can find a few people who want to offset their monthly rent and rent you a room for a fraction of the rent.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
For those that have a personal vehicle parked while OTR, read this:
Check with your insurance company and their requirements for where your vehicle can be housed/parked. They could flag the address after compliance reviews your new policy address. This is because they don't like insuring vehicles primarily parked in an open parking lot (business complex, hotels, etc.). Think about investing some money in an inexpensive storage lot for your car. You can satisfy the insurance requirement and keep your car safe while you're away. -
Whatever you do, set up your mail box in a state with no income tax, like Texas.
