If your husband wants to be safe he can be even if he went to a #### school it's all about caring enough about your job and those around you to do the job right and not being lazy. Sounds like he has the right mentality and now just needs to apply him self and learn everything he can. From what I have heard colleges and tech schools will give you better training but it really boils down to mindset and experience.
Coover and Gypsyink74 Thank this. -
You see it all the time here. A female could come here asking about a failed drug test and the slobbering dogs would be all for helping out. A dude comes on asking the same question and is tarred and feathered. Cracks me up.QuietStorm, Gypsyink74, Coover and 2 others Thank this.

The only good trucking schools are the ones linked to a college with their own driving course. Months (not weeks) long, actual training for road conditions, how to chain, better knowledge of the truck, etc. But any other schools are pretty much trash.
Could offer himself as a team driver to an o/o, otherwise most big companies will have him with a mentor for a while but you have to know what to ask to get the most out of it, problem is that there is a lot of things he won't know that he doesn't know.
I've heard good things about roehl, at least their flatbed division, I was considering it as a potential entry into flatbedding myself.
Btw, tell him not to swing doors. Tankers or flatbeds are better money. Might as well start there.Last edited: Jan 29, 2017
