I want to say Triple S, or something like that, from Texas. He said it in one of his posts on this thread, but for the life of me, I cannot remember exactly who he said. Either way, it's another flatbed company.

I stand corrected. Here is part of a post he made, post #889 of this thread.

Reason for edit: corrected the company nameHalpinUout Thanks this. -
Can you find your own clients to get loads from? I know it would have to be billed through Malone but.....I'm just thinking you might get a higher rate. -
I wanted to know that too, let me know if you find out first thanks.

On paper, they claim you can BUT there has to be absolutely nothing in your area. Even if the load pays #### you have to take it over a better one found outside their "agents". They also still take their full 25 percent.

Don't listen to jimmy wells, I've been with malone for a year now. It all depends on who you have for a dispatcher I've pulled brokered stuff out of areas we have our own loads, mainly because I needed to go in a direction towards the house and our freight wasn't going that way. The main office is actually giving bonuses away for new "organic" business. Meaning that if you know a company and you set up the load and hammer out the rates malone will pony up. It's silly to think that they would restrict a truck from earning as much as possible or from expanding their customer base. they still want their 25% they don't care where it comes from for the most part.
-
That's fair, I think. thanks

I'm trying to decide where to go? Mercer or Landstar? I miss flatbeds, been pulling a van. Just would like to make some money and call a little more of my own routes. Not get rich just cover bills and enjoy the ride...........

If you already own your truck you'll do pretty good here, not trying to recruit you. The trailer rental sucks it's $185 a week but you could always buy one and bring it with you. The lease purchase gets a bit pricey but I'm still doing pretty good, tho this month has not been very strong for me but I'm coming back from a breakdown. In all honesty my take home before fuel averages out to $1.50/mile. It'd be more if I hadn't done the lease and bought a truck from a dealer. Just food for thought.

He's right. Don't listen to me. I had my truck there and it was a huge waste of time. Their advertised rate 0f $2.12 per mile is a blatant lie as well. CRST issues a healthy bonus and everybody has their hands in the pot. They're agents are their top priority, not your brokered loads.
This place is crawling with recruiters and those going after recruiting bonuses. Go ahead and take your truck there. See what happens. You've been warned, Driver.
New lease referral bonus is $2,500 and $500 for lease purchase. CRST Malone makes AT LEAST 5 million dollars a year just in trailer rent alone! If you go to Trussville you will know instantly you've made the wrong choice. The place is a joke.
