Kinda makes me wonder what the trucking industry is like in Mexico...is it regulated at all? If so are there weigh stations and inspection stops? What about HOS in Mexico? Do drivers have logbooks? Are there many actual truck stops with showers etc? What is the average pay for a Mexican OTR driver? How often does a truck get jacked in dangerous areas? I'm just curious....

No weigh stations,"only a few, and have years closed",,,some federales de caminos trucks have mobile scales,I think they gonna weigth you couple a times in all your life, and whit a couple of hundreds of PESOS you gonna be fine, no ticket. No records, no nothing. .

    No logbook
You can drive all you want , no dot at all, (sct , regulates but in the road are inexistents, the policia federal have special division, for trucks but are almost inexisten, and all take bribes, "no problema senor"

The truck stops are called " cachimbas" usually don't have showers ,are like a little house in the side off the road whith a dirt parking lot only sell home made food, the food is good!!!
Have hookers, and sell "Pericos"pericos are meth pills, to drive a lot and don't sleep, and you can pay the food whit diesel or buy pericos or beer whith diesel ,in the cachimbas...they send a guy to take off a "cubeta"of diesel from your truck, or ten if you want and they give to you cash, but about the half of the real price....a "cubeta" have 5 gallon of diesel, usually in cachimbas you can meet low rank drug cartel members,,,,
    "Don't have fax, don't have phone "
Are more like I cantina "bar" of the 3 world,
You can park around the gas stations ,no truck spots ,but you create you own,
I think gas station are safer than cachimbas , but usually to park in gas station this have to be in the outskirts of the town, and the mexican gas stations don't have showers , don't have nothing,
Even a small canadian trucks stop is better....
Watch the link to see the cachimbas

The mexican highway patrol "policia federal de caminos" all the time are stopping the trucks, and want money,
You can be driving high at "piedra"(crack), and whit a good amount of many, no problem at all!!(not all the truck drivers make hard drugs, but I think almost 90% eat "pericos"......

I think a mexican. Company truck driver makes
Around 2000 pesos (110 dlls) a week whitout stealing diesel

A owner operator I don't have idea how much can make....but I don't think, more than 500 dlls a week

The mexican megas, have good equipment I think they make good money.....and almost all are owned by American me gas

    Forgive my bad English
I I'm making some improvement every day,,,
    I was raised in mexico
    I'm half mexican
And i was living for 30 years in mexico
And I say "Mexico" is rotten to the core!!
