Oh. I get it now. We wouldn't want constructive criticism from those who are actually trying to help you get in the way of you building a fleet.
Sorry for the interuption. Back to my regularly scheduled clown show.

I'd say you didn't learn much in either your 6 years or especially in your last 10 months. And that you paid someone to advise you on your scam. Reminds me of those guys who would SELL you the secrets to make millions on flipping houses. But first you had to send them thousands to attend a seminar, where you sat in an audience of fools, all drinking the Kool-Aid and cheering each other on. Some actually made it, not by attending a seminar, but those who had skills with a hammer, pry bar, paint brushes and a big broom, with money in the bank to be able to finance it with. Not with an imaginary credit line as you propose!!! But I'm thinking you're really a troll, why else would anyone expose themselves to this ridicule and embarrassment. Maybe you need to go find BIG BILL, as he knows exactly how to do this!Loose Leaf, spyder7723, Western flyer and 3 others Thank this.

This makes sense. If you had said you didn't have the money I think everyone would have understood. Your original post sounded as if you had a answer to a age old question. No one is against you. Take the time to read what some of these guys are trying to tell you. This forum is a endless wealth of knowledge. After your done with that use the search feature and read some more. Again I don't think anyone is against you.CJndaTruck and Thekid0902 Thank this.

Ok I apologize if I seem defensive it's just there are a lot of people who seem to think think that operating your own truck is impossible so don't even try it. There are many people who don't have 30k laying around so this was some insight that was passed to me. Yes a lease agreement is a total rip off I'm required to run 26 days a month just to stay on top of my expenses but the question I asked myself was can I use this opportunity as leverage. Even though I may have 10k to get started what happens if something major happens on a used truck within the first 6 months that 10k is down the drain that I spent a whole year saving. For me this was simply a creative way that I was shown of how to make this a turning point.

Have you considered buying a older truck and finding a better carrier to lease on with? There is no quick and easy formula. It's tough. Real tough. Cash is still king, and a paid for truck hauling decent freight still rules.
Trying to keep up with the Jones's of the megas while leasing a mega truck will make you more broke than the Mr. Jones next door.
Twenty grand will buy a nice truck that can make you alot of money. It won't scratch your back and have pop out entertainment centers but will haul freight for roughly .40 a mile. Just a different way of looking things. Not a gaurantee and still risky. Just a thought.Loose Leaf Thanks this. -
Growing your business with loans is the worst thing you could ever do to it.
When an economical crisis happens, first ones that goes out of the business are the ones with the loans.
During oil boom, one guy got 50 trucks, he had another 50 owner operators. He bought $2million worth of cranes with the loan and the oil boom ended and it took only 3 months for him to go bankrupt.
Just be careful. -
