basically I was terminated due to safety misinterpreting my actions involving an upgrade to a new truck. Tires were bad, hub was making a little noise, and was just tired of it as it was only 30k and three months into the l/p. I informed breakdown the hub was making noise in Houston. I wanted to make it to the terminal to get the upgrade and felt it could make it 2-3 hrs. I did stop right north of Houston at the new Freightliner, spent the night and got servixes and continued to the terminal the next day and was terminated upon arrival. These clowns would not let me leave the grounds and come back! I could only take what I could carry, sold me boxes, and put me off the grounds! Despicable! But they said it was due to possible retaliation. The exit was totally pretentious and it was obvious they believed the age old saying THAT I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE NEVER HEARD... That I wanted the upgrade so bad I had risk destroying the vehicle. I get a settlement stating I ow them for the two day old tires and the repair on the way which probably should've saved my job.

So you threatened to damage equipment/hold a load until you got what you wanted and they called your bluff?
Then you got upset for getting billed for repairs you authorized? Or am I still misinterpreting you?

Read your contract on the condition they expect the truck to be in when returned to them and you will have your answer. You did read your contract before signing right?

    "misinterpreting my actions" :laughing-guffaw:
