I worked for a fellow one time who always brought up how he was a born again Christian. Kept a bible in the truck at all times. He was a crook. Most that profess their beliefs are ok but I do look a little more carefully when they use it in their business advertising.

There's lots of folks that sound crystal clear 3000 miles away but when you park in the parking lot underneath their antennae you can barely understand what they say and when you get 10 miles down the road you can barely hear them. A friend of mine in California happens to have one of the biggest stations on the west coast running insane amounts of power and he sounds crystal clear when you are parked in the driveway underneath his antenna he sounds crystal clear 50 miles north on Interstate 5 and he sounds crystal clear in Los Angeles 120 miles away and he also sounds crystal clear 3000 miles away in Pennsylvania.
It would be a major error in judgement to make a decision about who to work on your radio based on how they sound 800 miles away. It's better when you have the whole picture and you can hear them 20 feet away and they sound crystal clear as well as 50 miles away then you know they are on to something. Not many technicians can achieve results like that, let alone on a consistent basis.

Reason for edit: some technicians get lucky once in awhile but very few are consistent 100% of the time

This is pretty funny. D-Rail had no idea who he was talking to or the ramifications of the things he was saying.

    Blaskowitz Thanks this.

Being able to make a 30000 watt station with multiple Class C stages sound like a stock Cobra 29 should be considered a compliment considering no other technician in the country seems to be capable of such a thing.

Watch "163-Rio Grande,507 High Plains Ground Hog-Co,122-Me,D Rail-Ga" on YouTube

Here you can listen to the quality of Mark Sherman aka 163's hundred watts as opposed to Wolf Man aka D-Rail's 4000 watts as heard in Maine.

Kinda nit picking about what kind of radio someone sells aren't ya...
Wolfmans shop did some work on my Stryker 955. Its not set up to operate over 1.5 swr. They used the antenna I had, added a very heavy ground cable (similar to a battery cable) and then began the task of getting the see readings as low as possible. How about .37 on the low end and .87 on the high end. (Yes! It was double checked by another shop. They said don't let anybody touch it. It couldn't get any better. They didn't want any charge. Just wanted to know who set it...I told them and gave them 20 bucks anyway)
I'm more than satisfied with the work Wolfmans shop did...

Being a Christian doesn't mean you automatically become perfect. It is because we are NOT perfect that we need Christ

If you have to tell me your a Christian and drive that point home I'll stay as far away as possible.... I should be able to tell that by your actions mannerisms and the way you go about and handle your business and affairs in life......
