Good company in Phoenix AZ??

    O.D. has a bonkers top rate though, $28 an hour I think? I heard that second-hand from a Conway (XPO) driver who was comparing the rates of compensation between the two so I can't say for certain that's accurate. O.D. has high hourly, but all straight time while Conway has lower hourly but OT after 8/40 so it apparently evens out. I work for a smaller LTL company in the area but have talked to a lot of guys from a lot of different companies and O.D. drivers always seem to be the most content with their employment situation.

    I've spoken w/Fedex Freight guys in my area who have said the same thing, high pay and love the job. I think there's a hub in Phoenix.

    i suggested to my friend to try WM (waste managment) and UPS freight or logistics. But i think she's looking to get married so she doesn't have to work or work that much.........i don't know.............

    Yeah I just tried UPS freight but I turned it down pay and hours are very low for starting out and i can't take that cut in pay, ill check out wm but right now im going to interview at xpo next week.

    Probably close to 40 but just kinda as they need you for whatever shift, and 17.40 for driving and 16.75 if your working the dock

    No, I think the food service guys have it a lot worse than we do. A lot of my deliveries are forklift off the back. That doesn't exist in their world. And, not only do they have to fingerprint every single box on that truck, but every delivery is an INSIDE delivery.
