I call them and tell them that excrement ain't happening. Was put in hold for 15 min. Then told box team hasn't answered yet, they will send a message.

I wait.

I call back and after 10 min on hold was told market is bad right and to go to the Indy oc and stage and wait for an empty to come in.

Deep breath.

I go to the oc and ask to be notified if any empties come in. The guy looks at me like I'm an alien. He tells me to go to row A and pick one out. I ask, you have empties here??? He says yes go get one lol. So I got to row A and I look at the whole row of about 40 trailers. Now to be fair, they all weren't probably empties, but I pull up to the first three and check all three, and they're empties. So I hook and go.

So we have a situation of either these idiots are really, really inept, incompetent, morons, or they are sending IC's on trailer chases while company trucks get the trailers at the oc.

While both are probably true, I tend to lean toward the latter.

Yup I always went where i knew for sure empties were... If it's a ridiculous task that is... I'm not going on a wild goose hunt just to find out its no empties. Nah.. But i was threatened with being terminated for doing it lol but I always came back with a reply so what term me.. I'll take my truck else where.. And that silenced the bs

If thats tried at an OC without it on your work assignment they won't let u out of the gate.

Just tractor, over 3 months worth. I put in the correct dates. Didn't worry about the time.

Yard is the first place I would have went, and simply put the trailer number in for the other location. Not playing their trailer relocation for free games.

OC will not let you out the gate unless work assignment shows you taking an empty out of there.

Always been like that unless things have changed.
OC once made me turn around and sit until my work assignment update in the system showing me taking an empty out. Was not happy lol

Well you can't get out of the gate unless it's assigned. I would of hooked one then called in to get it assigned.

This happened to me too when I was new. I was used to my old company where you just found an mt and tore out of there.
