I pick up and deliver from Brownsville TX to Otay Mesa Ca I see a lot of drivers from Mexico parked in fuel island's on a 10 hr brk at night in certain parts of Texas near the border, its as if its a race to get first dibs in the fuel island. They dont care. One truck stop shut down the fuel for trucks and any parking due to the driver's not obeying the rules. Any truck on the property gets towed out if the owner sees it.
I don't go into Mexico -
I visit south of the border for Dental purposes on regular basis. I have spoken with several drivers there first hand. They say the Feds are regulating the trucking industry and the highway patrol in Mexico are enforcing the laws. There type of "Outlaw Trucking" is coming to an end. Yes......there are few jurisdictions that take bribes for certain minor infractions, and probably won't go away. I also have travel way south into Mexico for vacation and again, the trucks that I have seen and not broken down runts of the litter like many think.
The trucks that run here in from Mexico, that run produce that I have seen up and down So.Cal have been all clean equipment with CVSA stickers. These guys are under the microscope in USA, why would they jeopardize there authority?snowlauncher and dca Thank this. -
