Lots of folks can do it. Not very profitable though.

Out of cheap materials, yes.
Stainless steel Not so much.

 

Working with Stainless steel is no big deal. You just need the right tools.

Expensive materials often means lower profit margin. Truck drivers are cheapskates when it comes to antennas.

I buy it all the time and it isn't that expensive, maybe a few pennies more but nothing like what some seem to claim. I machined it, welded it and formed it, it is the same as any other metal.

What's expensive is Titanium.

 

Yeah ti aint cheap..The jap race exhaust i bought for my bike retailed for 4 thou..Mind you i didnt pay that much but my full race exhaust weighs about the same as a gallon of diesel..

 

Craig, your avatar is distracting. I worked with a guy who had a girl with ... well like that. she would take him lunch almost daily and she stopped the office because of how she dressed, almost like that showed more - the guy said you got to "brag" a bit of what you got.
