Marten Transport ***PAY SCALE***

Thanks for this forum. Sometimes a guy needs to see if the grass is greener on the other side. Ends up that way usually because it gets fertalized more.

Hi. You still with Marten? I'm considering going with them soon. They run a salaried dedicated position out of my home town. I would be giving up a well paying otr gig but I need more home time. Any info you could pass on Would be great. I don't know much about the company. Thanks

 

I live in Phoenix, just quit my local job. Might need to get back in a sleeper. I need to ask a Marten recruiter about what opportunities they may have for me. But if I cant opt out of a per diem, I don't feel comfortable doing this.

Next question is, do they match 401k? And also have heard conflicting stories if Marten has drive cams on their trucks.

 

Keep us posted. I've talked to half a dozen of their drivers here, and they are all very happy. I to am very curious.

 

I will KIT. I'm curious about average trip miles, a big one with me. But KaoMinerva has me thinking like I need more stops so I can clean up on detention pay easy money lol

The other place they win is vacation. SNI pushed it hard when I was there but at least we had an option. They pay vacation on the amount sans the per diem so you pretty much cut your vacation pay in half.

Per diem is a ruse because you would get that money anyway when filing.

Per diem takers are only shooting their own feet.

Agree 100%. The Per Diem only thing would be a deal breaker for me.
