Swift company trucks are governed at 62 and l/o are at 68mph. Lease trucks that are owned by the driver are not governed.

If that's the case the deceased driver may have been either a l/p or a owner operator. I'm interested to see what the black box will reveal on the truck's actual speed prior to the impact.

@Canada Wife, my wife and I sold out this last May after 35 years out here. For many reasons, regulations, traffic, never ending lowering of the quality of drivers, lack of parking, the list goes on and on.
But one of the big deciding factors was, after 3.5 to 4 million miles and no BIG accidents, I felt that the window was closing in on us and it was just a matter of time until disaster struck our home. I was just compelled to sell out to beat the odds.
When I showed this video to my wife, and at the time we thought your husband had passed away. My wife literally cried for you. For those couple days she could not get you out of her mind.
Then you came on and said you were his wife, and said he was alive. You made her cry again again. But they are tears of relief for you.
As you go thru this difficult time in your life, perhaps you can get just a little comfort knowing that some of us take a few minutes out of our busy day and think and pray for you and your husband.
Can you tell us how your husband is doing?Last edited: Feb 19, 2017

Hugs to your wife. I may take a while to respond, waiting for Eric's return.
