Company driver to start out.. I've heard way too many horror stories about leasing from current drivers, former drivers, and family members who work in the industry. Not something Im interested in, especially right off the bat.
-
Definitely understandable
Velli Thanks this. -
I leased right off the bat. Went OTR. Dispatcher was, to put in "nice" terms, very unhelpful. I got fed up and went Midwest regional. Portage is 30 mins from my house so I figured I'd be home at least twice a week. I'm home every other day and I haven't seen a check under $1500 profit. Do what's right for you, try not to take in consideration towards everything everyone is saying. Plus I have this little "test" dedicated run to MO and it's an awesome trip.
-
How do you go regional
-
I've got a march 6th start date. Now just gotta get my bank account situated so I have access to my money while away.
-
I am thinking of going to kllm but wondered if they had cb already installed or if I have to buy one.
-
Any idea what tests are done at orientation for experienced drivers? Is it just DOT physical and a road/backing test or do they do that stupid extra physical readiness test?
-
If you have valid recent experience then you go to a 2 day orientation class /dot physical / drug test.. and then hitch a ride to Jackson to do the road test and get a truck
-
I think they might do a little road test in Lancaster too.
