i work for a chemical tanker company, on a dedicated acct. So i almost always am out and back. i make a little better than i did in the "loose leaf" days, draggin wagon and work maybe 2/3 as much......
i did milk and that was terrible pay, and i really don't want to food grade, since that doesn't seem anywhere near as good as chemical. Wish i had done this years earlier

Week two down! got one more load in then last week. Next week will be my first full week if i can get the crank case filter on truck replaced tomorrow.... It's running like Crap. I love knowing my work schedule for the week so I can run how I want to.

Got my first DOT inspection courtesy of the Kansas highway patrol. Was nervous since it's the first time ever being pulled in for one with a hazmat load but everything went fine. Besides that everything else is good here. You deliver to the same places all the time so you know your routes like the back of your hand lol

Ha! Mrs BTG mom resides in the Winslow area. My brother lives near U Maine Farmington.?
How is the snow? -
The snow sucks! We went from having almost nothing to having 4 feet fall in a week! We got 27 inches here from that blizzard alone. We've had 40 F since Sunday, so a good amount of snow has melted. I'm personally sick of winter and can't wait for spring to finally get here.BostonTanker Thanks this.

It was 70° in Chicago today, I love this winter so far.

Gonna be near 70 in Boston tomorrow. That don't help the OT. Or fuel oil numbers lol. Bet we don't get one will call tomorrow.

I have pulled plenty of totes. Thought I knew all about surge. Last month I was dispatched for a power only to pull a smooth bore tanker. What an education in smooth shifting that was. One bad shift or one tad over aggressive application of the throttle and you have ten miles of surge. Since then I have been really concentrating on getting even smoother in my day to day driving with a flatbed, which helps anyway for load control and for dealing with slick conditions without having to do anything differently. Lately I seem to be getting into the habit of leaving my water bottle upright in my closet. When I open my closet to get my fire resistant jacket it's still standing.Rubicon, Just passing by, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this.
