Not what I was looking for.
-
Were you hoping I would say "nothing matters, and everything is the same "?
-
NO I was hoping that you would understand what it all means but the simple addition of 20 watt amp devices seems to show you're thinking in a box.
Been too sick to explain. -
Any practical or theoretical differences with how well they'd handle heat dissipation? Working one device hard or 6 devices under capacity? Just thinking out loud.
-
Isn't that what you have been pointing out over and over when you continually tell us all about Jason's 4 watt radio and 45 mile trip?
-
Nope. My uniden PC 76 was unable to hear Jason at 4 watts. He needed his Connex 4300-300 to get past my .3 uv noise floor on the PC76.
All about receiver sensitivity and selectivity. -
Always better running anything lower than capacity
-
But you must admit the power output of a dual final radio compared to a single final radio is not going to make that much of a difference to the receiving station under normal conditions, though it may be able to reach a further away station , but not by much. We are basically talking about 4 watts carrier compared to 10 to 15 watts carrier.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

It takes lots of power out of my radio for the average person to hear me at that distance because the receiver is so screwed up. It only takes four Watts to get into my receiver at that distance because of the modifications that were done to my receiver. That was pretty much the point of those videos.
It was basically to demonstrate that if you took 2 Cobra 29 with a noise floor of .0399uv then it becomes very easy to communicate at that distance with 4 watts of power.
