I was sure you and I were on good terms. I just don't want others reading this site to mistakenly think we've banged heads.

 

The LTL side isn't bad, my finances father worked there for 21 years, he runs linehaul every night 54.cpm an 25$ an hour any dock time truck all well maintained, fuel island, truck washes everything at Knoxville TN terminal,
I worked out of the Knoxville Terminal for 6 months on there truckload side, I came from military background, so I like the uniformity an strict standards an appreciate what they Are doing professionalism wise, after a year you get 200$ uniform credit, if you quit after 6 months the uniforms are free I quit, on week before my 6 months, I took my vacation an on my vacation found a much higher paying job not even in the industry, an I got my last check for vacation in a comm check because I told them 2 weeks prior an they forgot to put it in, stillgot paid for vacation, an found new place, an I didn't have to pay for uniform either .
Only downfall I would say is the fake expections they set,during training with a trainer all trainers are 4 loads Pre planned for entire week, if not more, when your out of trainer truck no Pre plans hardly run unless you want be out past the weekend, had 1 good 2800 miles week but that was 7 days long .

 

That's sweet. In my area of Jackson Tennessee they are advertising 19 an hour for local. They say they want a year experience but I will apply anyway. Seems like a good deal.

Of course, I wouldn't know, but I guess I'm hoping.

 

Find a ratty homeless guy or guys, offer them the clothes plus a few bucks to model them for photos. Put the photos in Help Wanted ads or use in one of those meme graphics. "Averitt is Hiring Now"

 

When I pulled for Landstar we used to take company drivers work. Averitt sent the drivers home due to lack of work. I never understood why they done the drivers like that.
